The Teen New Musical Theatre Intensive (NMTI) is a unique and specialized week-long program designed to enhance and challenge your musical theatre skills while developing New Canadian Musical Theatre.works!
The Teen New Musical Theatre Intensive (NMTI) is a unique and specialized week-long program designed to enhance and challenge your musical theatre skills while developing New Canadian Musical Theatre. works!
Artists will have the rare opportunity to be part of the development of a New Musical Theatre Songbook designed for Teens. Artists will work alongside Local and International Industry Professionals on new, challenging, age-appropriate repertoire.
All artists will be featured in Solo and Ensemble numbers and will be able to ask questions, share thoughts and be active participants in the development of the songs and material
The week will culminate in a Final Workshop Performance in Bravo Academy’s own, state-of-the-art, Zlotnik Studio Theatre.

Jake is a Toronto-based music director, composer, audio editor, and teacher who loves working on new Canadian musical theatre. He has been part of several Dora Mavor Moore Award winning musicals, and has created and premiered many productions, including Patron’s Pick at the 2022 Toronto Fringe Festival The Crack of Doom, The Lightning Thief, The Drowsy Chaperone, Anne and Gilbert, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Flat Stanley Jr, In BeTween, and The Theory of Relativity.

Bravo Academy is a proud partner of the Arts Access Fund providing opportunities and support for those who otherwise would not be able to participate in our program. Students who need financial assistance in the form of a bursary or scholarship are encouraged to apply after acceptance to the program.
