Biography
Lynn Weintraub is an Actor/ Director/ Teacher with over 30 years of experience in the performing arts.
She holds a BFA in Acting Performance from the University of Alberta, has trained extensively throughout North America, including McGill University, The Banff Centre and Interlochen Center for the Arts. A sought-after instructor, Lynn has taught Creative Drama, Acting, Scene Study and school workshops for decades at YPT, Theatre Aquarius, Theatre Ontario, Havergal College, The York School, UCC, Tarragon Theatre, Stage Door Academy, Centauri Arts Camp, Leah Posluns, the TDSB, and elsewhere. Lynn was lead faculty and program coordinator of Seneca College’s Theatrical Performance Certificate Program and founder of The Attic Studio Theatre in North
Toronto. After serving as Acting Head at The Toronto Youth Music Theatre Company, she is thrilled to be back in the rehearsal hall with the talented students at Bravo Academy!
Lynn is the Artistic Director of The Players Theatre Company, a school-based theatre training organization. Notable directing credits include: “Bobbie” (Theatre By The Bay, 2023), “Broadway Bound”, “Lost in Yonkers “(Teatron Toronto Jewish Theatre, 2018, 2022) “Little Women”, “The Addams Family” (Stage Door/Acting Upstage) “Guys and Dolls” and “Bye Birdie” (TYMTC), Newsies Jr., Willy Wonka Jr. and over 15 youth musical productions (PTC). She’s a proud member of ACTRA and Equity and performs regularly on stage and in commercials, film, and television. Recent credits include a recurring role in the Netflix series Grand Army and the lead in A Scandal for All Seasons at Theatre By the Bay (2022).
