TEEN ACTING
AGES 13-18 | Gr. 8+
Take the stage and bring characters to life in our Teen Acting Class! By experimenting and exploring scene studies, monologues, and improvisation, participants will hone their skills and develop confidence. Through theatre exercises and activities, students will build the skills of characterization, improvisation, diction, communication and stage presence. This class with will culminate in a final performance held in our studio theatre.

SAMPLE ACTING SCHEDULE
SAMPLE TEEN SCHEDULE
Week 1: Meet your instructor and your fellow classmates! In our first class, we start with some introductory exercises, and talk about our term goals.
Weeks 2-4: We work on our performance skills through theatre games and exercises, incorporating voice and stage movement. We also work towards our final performance by learning scenes, and monologues.
Weeks 5-8: We stage and polish our performance, using the techniques we’ve learned.
Week 9: Dress rehearsal! We try on any costume elements and practice our final performance with lights and sound before the audience arrives.
Week 10: Show time! We showcase our skills in an ensemble performance. Students perform in our state-of-the-art Zlotnik Studio Theatre.
